world are giving their countries an identity facelift. “You don’t have
to be a brand specialist to see that global perceptions affect a
country’s ability to attract inward investment and tourists,” said His
Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki al Said, CEO, Oman Brand
Management Unit (OBMU).
The 12th annual session of the Arab Tourism Ministerial
Council opened here yesterday. Rajha bint Abdulameer bin Ali, Minister
of Tourism, is leading Oman’s delegation to the meeting. Dr Ali
Mohammed Mujur, Yemeni Prime Minister, said in an opening address that
the economic crisis had adversely affected the tourism sector along
with other economic sectors. <
